You notice, this season LFC's goals came from where the wingers cut in deep before passing off precise cross rather than from outside anyhow whack?
Benitez needs to take note of that.
But we did good, even after 2 goals down, they didn't give up and Torres, almost invisible in the game suddenly posed his presence with a 2 goals brace.
what i have been noticing about torres is that he really is in off-form, but still can finish and score goals.

There is a huge gap between the big four and the rest of the epl teams, i dont think there will be any break thru into the top4 anywhere in the near future. My huge gap refers to the quality of play and ability to play possesion football. If you look at liverpool or chelsea, even tho they cant play very attractive football they can hold the ball pretty good, and theres the difference btwn a top4 club and the rest of the pack
Sure everton may become rich, but if you look at the quality of the current pack of players there, i dont think instant riches can buy them champions league any sooner.
On the other hand, i think man city already has the potential to play good football. b4 the foreign owners came in, they have a great youth academy and some really decent players such as micah richards, richard dunne and stephen ireland.

how can you say man united fielded their reserves, kind of implying that they have a weak 2nd team. Which part of that day's lineup is ''reserve''? Honestly i thought pool were gonna get thrashed when tevez scored that 1st goal early on. I think you should give some credit to pool for playing well that day.

what? liverpool got one of the best midfield around - gerrard, alonso, masherano, i believe its better than man u's trio of scholes, anderson and hargreaves

true, gerrard and torres may be liverpool's current icon but nobody is bigger than the club. But look at ronaldo.

liverpool played like champions against man united but not against stoke. they need to get their act tgt and win regularly instead of wasting precious points on draws like previous seasons. pool actually lost v little matches if u look at the table, but the draws take up a large chunk. if they can draw fewer matches this season, then they will be serious contenders for the title.

i wouldnt want barry because pools midfield is strong enough --- gerrard, alonso, mascherano, lucas. i believe it can match chelsea's midfield. their wing now makes up of babel ( who can cut in and score on his strong right foot ) and reira ( looks good as of recent matches ) benayoun is quite good too.
i think its just that pool arent just playing like champions do. they have the squad to win the title but they just cant win matches when they should, like against stoke recently
